Golfer of year explanation.

Here is a summary to explain how golfer of the year points works for end of season results.

For each event played, a point system is in place and is awarded in order of finishing position on day, from first to last place. 
First gaining the highest points possible and last the lowest points possible. 

In the event of a split competition at one venue (two trophies) this will be split as two winners each gaining first place points, then each player is put in order of finishing position on the day (regardless of split competition), with the next person getting 3rd place points and then so on in order

At the end of the season – your best 14 finishing positions from any event/venue are used for your total final golfer of the year points. (if you don’t play 14 games then your final score will be from the events you have played)

The player with the highest total points at the end of the season would be crowned golfer of the year

Eclectic explanation.

Here is a summary to eclectic works for end of season results.

The electric is your best score/shots over the 8 games at Downshire on each hole, if no score/shots are put down it is marked as a 9 for that hole,

At the end of the year, the result is your best score/shots on each hole - minus half your final handicap (after Martin’s White Trophies)  

For example, 
If you scored the below as your best on each hole. Your total shots would be 76 before deduction.

If your final handicap was 19.3 this would be divided in half = 9.65 – This would be deducted from the 76 giving your final eclectic score 66.35.
If your final handicap was 10.0 this would be divided in half = 5.0 – This would be deducted from the 76 giving your final eclectic score 71.00

The player with the lowest final score after handicap deduction at the end of the season would be crowned eclectic winner
